Statement of No Fees
Beginning January 1, 2022, new federal laws, called the No Surprises Act, ban surprise billing in private insurance for most emergency care and many instances of non-emergency care. They also require that uninsured and self-pay patients receive key information, including overviews of anticipated costs and details about your rights.
Free For All Services
At MetroWest Free Medical Program, there is no fee ($0) for any services you receive.
Referrals and fees
MetroWest Free Medical Program may make a referral and help make an appointment for you for a referred service. We will ensure that you will be notified in writing of any fees there will or will not be for the appointment. Additionally, the referral provider is required to provide you a “good faith estimate” of all costs of the treatment. Information is here. https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
Health Insurance
We will see you regardless of whether you have insurance. If you have health insurance, we encourage you to bring this information as it helps if you may need a referral. We also encourage you to apply for insurance.

COVID-19 Vaccine
All of our staff and volunteers on-site are required to be fully vaccinated. We require that patients be fully vaccinated prior to visit. This is because many of our volunteers with our program are older and may be at higher risk due to age. There are many options for the vaccine locally, and no documentation is required. If you have questions about the vaccine, please contact us.
